The UMSL men's basketball team won 10 straight games before losing by a single point in the closing seconds of its game against the University of Indianapolis.

MEN’S BASKETBALL
UMSL ran its win streak to 10 games with a 90-76 win at Saint Joseph’s College (Rensselaer, Ind.) last Thursday but saw the streak snapped with a 63-62 loss at the University of Indianapolis on Saturday as the Greyhounds hit a three-point shot with six seconds to play to garner the win. The Tritons now stand at 11-4 overall and 6-1 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference.

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL
The UMSL women’s basketball team went 0-3 on its three-game road swing last week, with losses at Saint Joseph’s College (81-58) and the University of Indianapolis (77-56) last weekend before a 77-69 defeat at crosstown rival Maryville University (Town and Country, Mo.) last night. Despite the losses, junior Devonna Smith proved to be a force in the paint for the Tritons, averaging 18.0 points and 13.0 rebounds per game. Smith pulled down 20 rebounds at Indianapolis, tying the third best single game total in program history. UMSL is now 6-9 overall, including 1-6 in the GLVC.
