Each week, the Department of Athletics at the University of Missouri–St. Louis compiles a roundup of how the various UMSL Tritons teams have fared. Click on the headings below for an up-to-date look at each Tritons team.

MEN’S GOLF
The UMSL men’s golf team placed seventh at the Great Lakes Valley Conference Championships, held Sunday and Monday at the Paducah (Ky.) Country Club. Sophomore Joe Atkisson led the Tritons individually, tying for ninth place with a three-round score of 232 (77-75-80).

BASEBALL
The UMSL baseball team ran its win streak to six games with three victories last week, including an 8-2 defeat at McKendree University (Lebanon, Ill.) and a sweep of Quincy (Ill.) University at home with 6-5 and 4-2 wins. Junior Charlie Mohr had three hits and seven RBIs, while freshman Chris True and senior Jeremy Butler each pitched complete game victories. UMSL stands at 17-16 overall, including 9-11 in the GLVC.

SOFTBALL
The UMSL softball team swept Rockhurst University (Kansas City, Mo.) on Monday, posting shutouts in each victory and split with William Jewell College (Liberty, Mo.) on Sunday. Freshman Katie Wood led the Tritons with six hits and eight RBIs and blasted a grand slam in game two against William Jewell College. UMSL is 25-21 overall, including 14-14 in the GLVC.

WOMEN’S GOLF
The UMSL women’s golf team placed third at its own Oak Terrace Spring Invitational, held last weekend in Pana, Ill. The Tritons recorded a 328 and were led by junior Shweta Galande, who tied for third with a 79.

WOMEN’S TENNIS
The UMSL women’s tennis team closed out its GLVC schedule last Friday at Drury University (Springfield, Mo.), falling to the No. 22 ranked Panthers, 5-1. Sophomore Louisa Werner defeated No. 50 ranked Beatriz Juan, 6-4, 6-1, at No. 1 singles. The Tritons are 9-5 overall and finished league play with a 3-3 record.

MEN’S TENNIS
The UMSL men’s tennis team suffered a 6-0 loss at No. 20 ranked Drury University last Friday in its final GLVC match and end the league with a 4-2 record. UMSL is 9-7 overall.
