Attorney and UMSL alumna Claire M. Schenk will discuss complex health-care issues Oct. 10 at UMSL.

Health care is a hot topic no matter what season it is, and no one knows that better than attorney Claire M. Schenk who specializes in health-care fraud and abuse cases.

Schenk, partner at Thompson Coburn LLP, will discuss “An Insider’s Perspective on Complex Health Care and Securities Investigations and Prosecutions” at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 10 in the Century Rooms at the Millennium Student Center at the University of Missouri–St. Louis

A UMSL alumna with a bachelor’s degree in psychology, Schenk concentrates her practice on health-care issues. Her practice includes representing and advising hospitals, health plans, service areas in nursing homes, physicians and physician groups, pharmaceutical companies, manufacturers and distributors of medical devices and other health-care entities and providers, as well as registrants under the Controlled Substances Act.

The lecture is part of the Great Lecture Series and sponsored by UMSL’s College of Arts and Sciences, Alumni Association and Executive Leadership Consortium.
