Are the mild temperatures and lack of snow making it hard to get into the holiday spirit?

The University of Missouri–St. Louis’s annual holiday concert could be just the cure. The Classic Holiday Concert is one of the most popular of the holiday season. The performance will be held at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 10 in the Anheuser-Busch Performance Hall at the Blanche M. Touhill Performing Arts Center at UMSL.

The concert is a mixed presentation by UMSL’s choirs and orchestra. It pulls from an extensive catalog of classic holiday music, including many traditional favorites. The performance will feature three of UMSL’s choral ensembles: the University Singers, acclaimed a cappella group Vocal Point and University Chorus. The musical trio will be joined onstage by the University Orchestra for a festive holiday concert finale.

The concert, sponsored by the Department of Music at UMSL, is free and open to the public.
