Following Memorial Day, St. Louis Public Radio | 90.7 KWMU focused on the help that’s available for veterans as they transition from the military back to civilian life. Veterans also face unique challenges when enrolling at or returning to college. The University of Missouri–St. Louis has created a Veterans Center to help with that shift to the classroom.

Ryan Barrett, interim director of the UMSL Veterans Center and a student pursuing a doctoral degree in political science at UMSL, discussed the center on May 28 on “St. Louis on the Air,” a program on St. Louis Public Radio.
