Natalia Vaz de Carvalhais, a sophomore on the UMSL women’s tennis team, reached the quarterfinals in singles play at the ITA Midwest Regional last weekend to highlight action for the Tritons.

Volleyball
The University of Missouri–St. Louis Tritons improved their win streak to five matches on Saturday in a 3-2 win over Wisconsin-Parkside, but saw it come to an end on Sunday with a 3-0 loss to Lewis, the first of the year in Great Lakes Valley Conference play. UMSL (8-5, 4-1 GLVC) will travel to #18 ranked Truman State on Friday night before a road trip to Quincy on Saturday.

Men’s Soccer
The Tritons suffered a pair of road GLVC losses, including a 1-0 defeat at Wisconsin-Parkside on Friday and a 1-0 setback in overtime at No. 12 ranked Lewis on Sunday. UMSL (3-5, 2-4 GLVC) is back home this weekend, hosting Drury on Friday and Missouri S&T on Sunday.

Women’s Soccer
UMSL lost both games of a two-game GLVC roadswing last weekend, falling victim to Wisconsin-Parkside, 2-0, on Friday, before a 4-1 loss at Lewis on Sunday. Sophomore Jessica Mincher had the lone Tritons goal. The Tritons (4-4, 2-4 GLVC) return home this weekend, hosting Drury on Friday night before entertaining Missouri S&T on Sunday.

Women’s Tennis
Sophomore Natalia Vaz de Carvalhais reached the quarterfinals in singles play at the ITA Midwest Regional last weekend to highlight action for the Tritons. Senior Louisa Werner and junior Lina Parra advanced to the Round of 16.

Women’s Golf
Sophomore Tayler Hoag won her second individual title of the season by claiming medalist honors at the Gilda’s Club Laker Invite, hosted by Grand Valley State Saturday and Sunday. As a team, the Tritons placed fifth. UMSL is idle until Oct. 12-13 when it closes out the fall portion of its schedule by hosting the Oak Terrace Fall Invitational in Pana, Ill.

Men’s Golf
The Tritons are wrapping up the final round at the DII Midwest Fall Regional today (Monday). UMSL was tied for fith place after the first round, eight strokes behind leader Lewis. Seniors Joe Atkisson and Warren Crow are both tied for 13th place.
