Women’s Basketball
The University of Missouri–St. Louis picked up two wins in its own Hilton Holiday Classic. The UMSL Tritons defeated Harris-Stowe, 76-36, on Friday before an 86-47 win over Missouri Baptist on Saturday. Senior Jessica Zavoral averaged 14.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.5 steals, while shooting 68.8 percent from the field, in the two games. UMSL (4-1) will host Maryville in the Great Lakes Valley Conference opener on Saturday in its lone game of the week.

Men’s Basketball
UMSL posted a 79-58 victory over Hannibal-LaGrange on Friday night before securing a 75-65 win over Missouri Valley on Sunday. In the latter win, senior Michael Weber poured in a career-high 27 points, connecting on 7-of-9 three-point field goals. The Tritons (4-2) will host Maryville in the Great Lakes Valley Conference opener on Saturday in its lone game of the week.
