The UMSL women’s basketball team (16-5, 9-4 GLVC) closed out a four-game homestand with wins over Saint Joseph’s (88-62) and No. 19 ranked Indianapolis (85-64).

UMSL (16-5, 9-4 GLVC) closed out a four-game homestand with wins over Saint Joseph’s (88-62) and No. 19 ranked Indianapolis (85-64) last Thursday and Saturday, respectively. The Tritons shot a combined 56.7 percent from the field in the two wins and received 18 points and 10 rebounds per game from senior Hazaria Washington. She registered 29 points and 13 rebounds in the win over UIndy. The Tritons begin a three-game road swing at Bellarmine on Thursday and are at Southern Indiana on Saturday.

Men’s Basketball
UMSL (13-8, 7-6 GLVC) posted a 106-70 win over Saint Joseph’s on Thursday night but fell victim to No. 8 Indianapolis, 79-58 on Saturday. Senior Femi John averaged 17 points per game over the weekend. The Tritons open a three-game road trip Thursday at Bellarmine and travel to Southern Indiana on Saturday.

Women’s Tennis
UMSL (2-1) claimed an 8-1 victory over Bellarmine on Sunday in a non-conference contest. The Tritons swept doubles play before winning five of six singles matches. UMSL is idle until February 24 when they host Harding.
