Eye on UMSL: Music festival

Forty college and high school students from the St. Louis area, Illinois and as far away as Colombia gathered June 1-5 at UMSL’s Blanche M. Touhill Performing Arts Center for the Arianna String Quartet’s annual Chamber Music Festival. The intensive learning environment focuses on chamber music and solo repertoire. Members of the quartet work directly with the students and offer participants innovative new tools for problem solving, gaining interpretive insights and creative rehearsal and practice techniques.

The photograph was taken by UMSL photographer August Jennewein and is the latest to be featured in Eye on UMSL.
