Eye on UMSL: Suited up

Proudly wearing UMSL Tritons and St. Louis Cardinals red are (from left) Tritons mascot Louie, Cardinals mascot Fredbird, UMSL Student Government Association President Cameron Roark and Cardinals pitcher Tyler Lyons.

The foursome took to the Busch Stadium field for UMSL Night at the Ballpark prior to the start of the Sept. 12 game against the Colorado Rockies. Roark threw out the ceremonious first pitch to Lyons. And with scores of UMSL alumni, students, faculty and staff in the stands to cheer them on, the first-place Cardinals continued their playoff push by defeating the Rockies 5-1.

The photograph was taken by UMSL photographer August Jennewein and is the latest to be featured in Eye on UMSL. Visit the UMSL Flickr site to view a full album of UMSL Night at the Ballpark photos.
