UMSL junior Jon Huelsman scored two goals, including the overtime game-winner, as the Tritons defeated Missouri S&T in OT Friday night.

Men’s Soccer
The University of Missouri–St. Louis defeated Missouri S&T 3-2 in overtime Friday night, but fell 3-1 to Drury on Sunday. Junior Jon Huelsman scored two goals, including the OT game-winner, and added an assist, to lead the UMSL Tritons to the victory over the Miners. The Tritons (7-2-1, 6-2 GLVC) return home hosting Lewis on Friday night and Wisconsin Parkside Sunday afternoon.

Women’s Soccer
The Tritons fell to both Missouri S&T and Drury by 1-0 socres last weekend, despite outshooting both opponents. UMSL (5-5, 3-5 GLVC) returns home to host Lewis and No. 11 ranked Wisconsin-Parkside, Friday and Sunday, respectively.

Volleyball
The Tritons went 3-1 last week, defeating Missouri S&T (3-1) and Drury (3-2) to bounce back after a 3-1 loss at Maryville. Sophomore Jory Siebenmorgen tied a career-high 15 kills in the win over the Miners, which snapped a five-match losing streak to Missouri S&T, while junior Erin Walker recorded a career-best 20 digs in Saturday’s win over Drury. UMSL (9-5, 6-3 GLVC) will hit the road to play Rockhurst on Friday night and William Jewell on Saturday.

Women’s Golf
UMSL is in second place after the first day of the Merrimack College Invitational, paced by junior Joana Yanez. Yanez is tied for second, while freshman Aares Boira is tied for sixth. The final 18 holes are being played today (Monday). The Tritons will close out the fall portion of their schedule this weekend, hosting the Oak Terrance Tritons Fall Invitational in Pana, Ill.

Women’s Tennis
The Tritons posted a 22-6 combined record in singles and doubles in its own UMSL Women’s Tennis Tournament last weekend. Senior Lina Parra and junior Natalia Carvalhais went 3-0 in doubles and 3-0 individually in singles.

Men’s Swimming
UMSL competed in its first intercollegiate meet for the first time since 1996 on Friday at the Show-Me Showdown. The men finished 10th in hte team standings, while recording five top-15 finishes. Freshman Feliz Kusnierz placed ninth in the men’s 500-yard freestyle and 13th in the men’s 200-yard freestyle to highligh action. The Tritons return to the pool October 18 at Lindenwood.
