UMSL senior Alexis Lawrence connected on seven three-pointers and averaged 15.5 points per game in the Tritons’ two wins last week.

Women’s Basketball
The University of Missouri–St. Louis picked up a pair of Great Lakes Valley Conference road victories last weekend with wins at Rockhurst (60-47) and at William Jewell (69-49). Junior Kelly Kunkel led the offense by averaging 19.5 points per game, including a career-high 26 points at William Jewell, and was a combined 15-of-15 at the free throw line. Senior Alexis Lawrence added 15.5 points per game and connected on seven three-pointers in the two games. Defensively, the UMSL Tritons limited both opponents to a combined 32.5 percent shooting. The Tritons (10-9, 6-5 GLVC) wrap up their current four-game road swing in Indiana this weekend, including at Indianapolis on Thursday and at Saint Joseph’s on Saturday.

Men’s Basketball
UMSL went 1-1 on last weekend’s roadtrip to the Kansas City area. Senior Tylor Wimbish connected on two free throws with five seconds to play on Thursday to help the Tritons to a 77-76 win at Rockhurst before UMSL suffered a 69-60 loss at William Jewell on Saturday. Senior Aareon Smith averaged 16.5 points and 11 points in the two games, scoring a game-high 23 points at Rockhurst, while tying a career-best 14 rebounds at William Jewell. Wimbish averaged 16 points, including 22 in the loss to William Jewell. The Tritons (15-6, 7-4 GLVC) travel to Indianapolis on Thursday and to Saint Joseph’s on Saturday to wrap up a four-game road trip.
