Perryman featured in espnW, KSDK stories

Junior pitcher Hannah Perryman of the University of Missouri–St. Louis Tritons softball team has been featured in a piece by espnW’s Graham Hays on Thursday.

While the story highlights what she has done on the field for UMSL this season – most notably throwing six perfect games – it also focuses on what has made Perryman who she is today. As a fifth-grader growing up in Elgin, Ill., she was the target of a stalker and eventually garnered the courage to speak out and helped change state law as a teenager. Through her efforts, the Stalking No-Contact Act passed into law on January of 2010.

The criminology and criminal justice major was also featured in the KSDK (Channel 5) segment “UMSL pitcher is a perfect pitching machine.” Earlier this month, Perryman was named a National Fastpitch Coaches Association Player of the Year Top 10 finalist.
