UMSL posted a 1-0-1 mark this week, and began the weekend with a decisive 4-0 victory over visiting Saint Joseph’s.

Men’s Soccer
UMSL went 1-1 on the week, defeating visiting Saint Joseph’s , 1-0. Junior DJ Bednar scored the late goal to help the Tritons to the victory, while junior Jack Filla earned the shutout in the net with two saves. UMSL closed out the weekend with a 2-1 overtime loss to Indianapolis. Freshman Dom Barczewski scored the first goal of the match for the Tritons, but the Greyhounds responded with two unanswered goals, the second being just 1:25 in overtime to get the win. UMSL (3-3, 2-2 GLVC) will travel to Wisconsin-Parkside on Friday and Lewis on Sunday.

Women’s Soccer
UMSL posted a 1-0-1 mark this week, and began the weekend with a decisive 4-0 victory over visiting Saint Joseph’s. All four goals were scored in the first half, including two by freshman McKayla Harder. The Tritons then hosted Indianapolis on Sunday and outshot their guests 34-7, but scored just once as the game ended in a 1-1 tie. Sophomore Baylee Williams notched the goal for UMSL, her first collegiate goal. The Tritons (2-1-2, 1-1-2 GLVC) will travel to Wisconsin-Parkside on Friday and Lewis on Sunday.

Volleyball
The UMSL volleyball team opened GLVC play on the road last weekend, going 1-1. UMSL swept Saint Joseph’s on Friday night with freshman Maddy Russell recording nine kills with no errors. She also served up three aces, while senior Lindsay Meyer dished out 15 assists. The Tritons then saw a three-match win streak snapped on Saturday with a 3-0 loss to Indianapolis. The Tritons (4-6, 1-1 GLVC) will play at home for the first time this season on Friday, hosting Wisconsin-Parkside. UMSL will also entertain Lewis on Saturday.

Men’s Tennis
Freshman Fabian Frank advanced to the Round of 16 at hte ITA Midwest Regionals to highligh action for the Tritons. He finished the weekend 2-1 in singles and 1-1 in doubles. Senior Iriving Corrales and fellow freshmen Robert White and Max Heath also competed, each winning their first round singles match. UMSL returns to the courts on October 7, hosting Lindenwood-Belleville in its final fall match.
