The Tritons men's and women's tennis teams both opened their seasons in the Billiken Classic, hosted by Saint Louis University.

The women’s tennis team opened its season by taking on Saint Louis University and Quincy in the Billiken Classic. Sophomore Jennifer Hauer, pictured, and junior Patricia Maya each went 2-1 in singles play.

Men’s Tennis
UMSL opened its 2016-17 campaign at the Billiken Classic last weekend with competition against Saint Louis University and Quincy. The doubles duo of Kristoffer Lindal and Rob White went 2-1 to highlight action for the Tritons. UMSL returns to the courts Sept. 9-10 at the UIS Tournament in Springfield, Illinois.

Women’s Tennis
The Tritons went a combined 8-8 in singles and 4-3 in doubles last weekend as the Tritons opened their season at the Billiken Classic with matches against SLU and Quincy. Junior Patricia Maya and sophomore Jennifer Hauer were each 2-1 in singles action, with the duo of graduate students Kristine Lindal and Carlota Trevino winning both of their doubles matches. UMSL will compete in the William Woods Tournament on Saturday in Fulton, Missouri.
