Is love an emotion? Langeslag says no. “The main reason for that is that when you are in love that can elicit different emotions depending on the situation. If you love someone and they love you back, it makes you very happy. If you love someone and they don’t love you back, now it makes you very sad. This idea that love elicicts different emotions depending on the situation tells me that love itself cannot be an emotion.”
