Junior Maxi Roth was named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Women’s Golf Player of the Week after sharing medalist honors with senior teammate Ares Boira at the Lindenwood University Fall Invitational.

Volleyball
UMSL extended its win streak to five matches with a pair of home wins last weekend, sweeping Missouri S&T on Friday before fending off Truman State on Saturday in five sets. Sophomore Selena Nolte averaged 5.25 kills per set, while hitting at a .356 clip. Senior Danielle Waedekin averaged 5.25 digs per set and recorded her 1,000th career dig during Saturday’s victory. The Tritons (16-6, 6-5 Great Lakes Valley Conference) continue their current five-match homestand this weekend, playing host to Quincy on Friday and McKendree on Saturday.

Women’s Soccer
The Tritons defeated Maryville on Friday night, 3-1, in their lone game of the week. Sophomore Rose Crabtree scored two goals while senior Sydney Bloch notched her first of the season. UMSL (5-7-3, 4-7-2 GLVC) closes out the 2017 regular season on Wednesday at home against Bellarmine.

Men’s Soccer
UMSL lost a 2-0 decision to Maryville Friday night in its lone contest of the week. The visiting Saints scored both goals in the first 15 minutes. The Tritons (5-7-3, 5-6-2 GLVC) wrap up the regular season at home against Bellarmine on Wednesday.

Women’s Golf
Junior Maxi Roth and senior Ares Boira shared medalist honors while helping the Tritons to the team title at the Lindenwood University Fall Invitational last Monday and Tuesday. Roth and Boira each fired a 146 as the Tritons turned in a 596 (294-302), eight strokes ahead of runner-up Augustana (S.D.). UMSL will close out the fall portion of its schedule next Monday and Tuesday at the Christian Brothers Super Regional in Memphis, Tennessee.

Men’s Golf
UMSL turned in a combined score of 912 (308-301-303) at the Copperhead Championship, a tournament hosted by West Florida last Monday and Tuesday at Innisbrook Resort – a PGA Tour course. Of the 15 teams in the field, 12 were ranked in the Golf Coaches Association of America DII Top 25 Poll. Freshman Miguel Maisterra was the top finisher for the Tritons, posting a total of 229 (76-78-75). UMSL is closing out its fall season this week at the Missouri Southern Fall Tournament, which began Monday.
