UMSL went 2-0 last week with an 83-64 home win over Maryville on Thursday and an 80-60 road win at Quincy on Saturday. Senior Jordan Fletcher averaged 21 points, eight rebounds and three blocks in the two games and notched her 1,000th career point in the Tritons’ win over Maryville. She is the 15th player in program history to reach that milestone. UMSL (10-5, 4-4 Great Lakes Valley Conference) will play host to Rockhurst and Bellarmine on Thursday and Saturday, respectively.

Men’s Basketball
The Tritons suffered a heartbreaking 70-69 home loss to Maryville on Thursday as the Saints netted the game-winner with 6.8 seconds to play. They were unable to bounce back on Saturday in a 74-61 loss at Quincy. Freshman Anthony Hughes averaged 11.5 points, while shooting 50 percent from the field. UMSL (8-9, 3-5) welcomes Rockhurst on Thursday and sixth-ranked Bellarmine on Saturday.

Men’s and Women’s Swimming
UMSL combined to win five events in a triangular on Saturday against McKendree and Principia. The women claimed three victories, including sophomore Mailin Gupta in the 100-yard breaststroke, junior Amber Visser in the 200 individual medley and the 200 freestyle relay. On the men’s side, junior Esteban Pombo won the 200 IM, while the 200 freestyle relay team also came in first. Both Triton teams defeated Principia but lost to McKendree.
