UMSL Tritons weekly rewind

The men's soccer team claimed a 1-0 victory over Great Lakes Valley Conference opponent William Jewell on Friday, thanks to a game-winning goal from junior midfielder Magnus Anderson.

Junior Magnus Anderson netted a goal with two minutes left in regulation to lift UMSL to a 1-0 victory over William Jewell on Friday.

Men’s Soccer
UMSL earned a 1-0 victory at William Jewell on Friday as junior Magnus Anderson scored with two minutes left in regulation to notch his second straight game-winning goal. The Tritons then suffered a 2-0 loss at Rockhurst on Sunday. UMSL (3-4, 2-2 Great Lakes Valley Conference) will host Truman State on Friday and Lewis on Sunday.

Volleyball
The Tritons went 0-2 on the weekend, with a four-set loss at Illinois Springfield and a five-set loss at McKendree. Junior Kylie Rudsinski averaged 2.25 kills and 1.11 blocks per set. Despite the loss Saturday at McKendree, the Tritons posted a season-best 17 blocks. UMSL (7-8, 3-4) wraps up a four-match road swing at Truman State on Friday and Quincy on Saturday.

Women’s Soccer
UMSL suffered road losses at William Jewell (2-1) and at Rockhurst (1-0) last weekend. Senior Lee Strande scored the Tritons’ lone goal on a one-timer in the 81st minute against William Jewell, but the Cardinals quickly responded with two goals in a span of 94 seconds. UMSL (2-4, 1-3) will host Truman State on Friday and Lewis on Sunday.
