Sophomore Karl Heinrichs and freshman Adrian Lessing won the B doubles flight at the ITA Midwest Regional Tournament, held Friday through Sunday, as a highlight for UMSL, while junior Ben-Hur Kasprzak advanced to the quarterfinals of the A singles. The Tritons will host their annual Alumni Match on October 13 to close out the fall season.

Volleyball
The Tritons dropped a pair of matches over the weekend, falling 3-0 at Truman State and 3-2 at Quincy. Despite the setbacks, freshman Megan Woll averaged 8.21 digs per set, which included a 42-dig outing at Quincy that tied the second-most digs in a match by a Great Lakes Valley Conference player this season. Woll is the only GLVC player to have two 40-dig outings this season. UMSL (7-10, 3-6 GLVC) hosts McKendree on Tuesday before heading back on the road to Drury and Missouri S&T on Friday and Saturday.

Men’s Soccer
UMSL junior Donald Link scored six minutes into Friday’s game against Truman State, and that goal held as the Tritons earned a 1-0 win. UMSL then had a 2-1 setback to Lewis on Sunday. Junior Magnus Anderson converted his second penalty kick of the season for the Tritons’ goal. UMSL (4-5, 3-3 GLVC) is at Missouri S&T this Friday before a trip across town to Maryville on Sunday.

Women’s Soccer
Despite outshooting its opponents by a combined margin of 27-12 over two games this weekend, UMSL lost to Truman State (2-0) and Lewis (2-1). Senior Lee Strande scored for the Tritons, notching her second goal of the year. The Tritons (2-6, 1-5) are at Missouri S&T this Friday before visiting Maryville on Sunday.

Women’s Golf
