New University of Missouri–St. Louis graduate Everlene Falconer (center) waved to her family in the stands after walking across the stage during commencement ceremonies on Saturday at the Mark Twain Athletic Center. Among the family members on hand to see Falconer graduate was her 12-year-old grandson Donovan, who helped inspire her to return to school and earn her Bachelor of Educational Studies degree.
