Eye on UMSL: Cultural traditions

Students in the Cultural Traditions course, a freshman symposium in humanities offered by Pierre Laclede Honors College, created projects representing traditions from different cultures now on display in the first-floor hallway of the Provincial House. The projects served as the culmination of a semester spent researching these topics. The course surveys cultural traditions from their beginnings until the 1700s, introducing the intellectual traditions of a wide variety of cultures through major works of literature, religion and philosophy.
