A few dozen people gathered last Thursday evening to dedicate a new bench in honor of the late Hubert Hoosman Jr., a 1979 BSAJ alumnus and former member of the Chancellor’s Council who died in a car accident in 2017. Rain forced the ceremony indoors at the J.C. Penney Conference Center, but the skies cleared in time for the crowd to step outside for the release of four white doves. The new bench is located just west of Alumni Circle.
