Rosengren was one of three players to finish with a total of 147 after shooting rounds of 74 and 73, forcing the extra play to determine the individual winner. Men’s Basketball
The No. 18 ranked Tritons clinched a share of the Great Lakes Valley Conference regular-season title with home wins over Lewis (73-61) and Illinois Springfield (86-79) last weekend. UMSL also finished its home schedule with a 16-0 record. Redshirt senior Jason Towery averaged 20 points and seven rebounds and scored a career-high 21 points on Saturday while junior Shane Wissink added 13.5 points per game and went a combined 7 for 10 from 3-point range. The Tritons (25-5, 16-4) open the GLVC Championship Tournament as the top seed and will take on No. 8 seed Drury at 6 p.m. Thursday in Edwardsville, Illinois.

Women’s Basketball
The Tritons saw their season end last weekend with a pair of victories as the Tritons defeated Lewis 71-58 and Illinois Springfield 94-64. Redshirt senior Laura Szorenyi averaged 23.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and two steals while junior Alex LaPorta added 13.5 points and 10.0 rebounds per game. UMSL ended the 2019-20 campaign with a 16-13 overall record, including an 11-9 GLVC mark, as it came up one spot shy of making the GLVC Championship Tournament. The Tritons also closed out the year with four straight wins and victories in nine of their last 11 and also won eight straight at home.

Softball
UMSL went 3-3 at last weekend’s Washburn Invitational, included a thrilling 5-4, come-from-behind, eighth-inning win over Central Missouri in the finale. The Tritons had trailed 3-0 entering the seventh inning. Senior Andee Tiffee was named to the all-tournament team after picking up the win in the circle in all three victories. She finishing the weekend 3-1 with a 1.88 ERA and recorded 35 strikeouts in 26 innings. Offensively, Tiffee recorded eight hits and five RBI.

Baseball
The Tritons rallied for an 8-7 win over Davenport last Thursday before dropping all three games at Quincy over the weekend. Freshman Jared Bryant had a team-best six hits while senior Jarrett O’Brien recorded five hits and scored three runs. UMSL (3-8) will open GLVC play at Drury this weekend with a three-game series.

Men’s Tennis
UMSL garnered a 4-3 win over Maryville on Sunday in its spring home opener. The Tritons swept doubles to garner that point, which proved crucial, as the teams then evenly split singles. UMSL (2-0) hosts Purdue Northwest at 11 a.m. on Saturday.

Men’s Golf
UMSL began play at its Las Vegas Desert Classic on Sunday, but play was suspended during round one because of high winds and dry greens. Play resumed Monday with the second round to follow. The third and final round will be played on Tuesday.
