Eye on UMSL: Self-defense class

Freshman business major William Shi (standing, at right) assists Officer Dustin Smith with a demonstration during a Self-Defense Training with the UMSL Police Department event held last week in the Quad. Jason Marquart and Lixing Li of UMSL Global‘s International Student and Scholar Services helped coordinate the event, which was promoted to international students using Canvas. More than a dozen international students were in attendance. Future events, including fishing in Forest Park and pumpkin carving in the Quad, are planned for the weeks ahead.
