Senior Chris Ferris shared the 36-hole lead at the Great Lakes Valley Conference Men’s Golf Championship after posting rounds of 69 and 72 on Sunday at Fox Run Golf Club in Eureka, Missouri.

Men’s Golf
UMSL senior Chris Ferris shared the individual lead after 36 hole of play at the Great Lakes Valley Conference Men’s Golf Championship, played at Fox Run Golf Club in Eureka, Missouri. Ferris fired round of 69 and 72 to finish at 3 under par during the first day of competition on Sunday and helped the Tritons to fourth place on the team leaderboard. Juan Antonio Padilla was also in the top 10 individually after rounds of 73 and 71. The top four teams advance to the match play Tuesday to determine the conference championship.

Women’s Golf
Senior Emma Thorngren earned her second win of the season and the seventh of her career by capturing medalist honors at UMSL’s own Triton Invitational last week. The Tritons also claimed the team title, bettering the 15 other teams in the field. The Tritons will compete in the GLVC Women’s Golf Championship beginning Friday at The Hawthorns Golf and Country Club in Fishers, Indiana.

Volleyball
UMSL ended the season with a 3-0 loss to Southern Indiana in the semifinals of the GLVC Tournament. The second-seeded Tritons opened play with a 3-0 win over Rockhurst in the quarterfinals before falling in three sets against the Eagles. GLVC Player of the Year Charlotte Richards averaged 5.5 kills per set. UMSL finished with a 16-3 record.

Men’s Soccer
The Tritons ended the regular season with a scoreless draw against fourth-ranked Indianapolis on Friday. Senior goalkeeper Anton Mukhin made five saves to help keep UIndy off the board for just the second time this season. UMSL (7-4-3) clinched a spot in the GLVC Tournament for the first time since 2016 and travels to Lewis today for quarterfinal round action.

Women’s Soccer
UMSL saw its first season under Coach Maddi Moon end with a 1-0 loss to 24th-ranked Indianapolis on Friday. The Tritons finished with a 5-5-4 record.

Baseball
The Tritons split a four-game series at Maryville, winning the final two games, 10-8 and 10-9. Senior John Hilpert led the offense with four hits and five RBI, while junior Bryce Burton homered twice in the final game. Freshman Jack Rhodes earned a save in both wins. UMSL (9-22) is off until a four-game series at home against McKendree beginning on April 30.

Women’s Tennis
UMSL defeated Drury for the first time in program history on Saturday 4-2 but lost a 5-2 decision at 13th-ranked Southwest Baptist on Sunday. Freshman Anna Domingo extended her singles win streak to eight matches with two wins at No. 5 and also teamed with fellow freshman Tara Erler to post two wins at No. 3 doubles. The Tritons (7-3) travel to William Jewell on Friday and Rockhurst on Saturday.

Men’s Tennis
The Tritons (3-6) suffered a pair of losses to nationally ranked opponents, falling 6-1 to No. 18 Drury and 4-1 to No. 23 Southwest Baptist. They play Division I Saint Louis University on Wednesday before resuming GLVC action at William Jewell on Friday and at Rockhurst on Saturday.

Softball
UMSL swept Missouri S&T on Saturday, posting shutout victories of 5-0 and 8-0, but lost a pair of one-run games – 2-1 and 3-2 – against Maryville on Sunday. Junior Corinne Daley recorded a pair of home runs and finished with four RBI. Junior Mimi Bradley was 1-1 in the circle and scattered just eight hits in 14 innings of work, allowing two earned run. The Tritons (15-21) play a doubleheader at Lindenwood on Saturday.

Track and Field
The men’s and women’s track teams returned to the track on Saturday at the Greenville Select with freshman Benjamin VandenBrink finishing second in the 1500-meter run to highlight the action for the Tritons.
