Runner Pechaz Clark receives a high five from mascot Louie the Triton – who was driven around campus by Chancellor Kristin Sobolik – during the second annual UMSL Alumni Association 5K Run & Walk through campus on Saturday morning.

More than 400 participants, including 200 students and 60 volunteers, gathered on the University of Missouri–St. Louis campus on a sunny October morning for the race. UMSL Cross Country and Track Coach Steve Picucci designed and marked the course, which started at Touhill Circle and stretched along Grobman and West Drives, cutting through the heart of campus on the St. Vincent Greenway–Wayne Goode Trail and connecting with the shaded Jones Trail before looping back to Touhill Circle.

Participants received a dri-fit event shirt, plus other Triton treats and surprises, and had the opportunity to win a medal. A portion of the event’s proceeds will benefit the UMSL Veterans Center. Learn more, view photos and see results at umslalumni.org/Run22.
