A half-mile stretch of South Florissant Road, running from the Xcelsior Event Center to Soulcraft, has served as a defacto gallery for Lollis and recent UMSL studio art graduates Olivia Obi and Sarah Butler over the past month in a multi-storefront walk-up exhibition called “Art in Storefronts.”

It grew out of collaboration between UMSL, MU Extension and Ferguson business and community leaders. An independent jury of local leaders chose the three artists whose work is displayed with Obi’s showing at the Xcelsior Event Center, Lollis’ at the Hive Cafe and Butler’s at Soulcraft.

The exhibition will run through this weekend, and there will be a free art walk from 10 a.m.-noon on Saturday with a chance to win raffle prizes.
