University of Missouri–St. Louis College of Nursing alumna Abigail Fitzhugh attaches an UMSL legacy pin to her daughter Eliana Fitzhugh as she gets set to begin studying special education as a student in the Pierre Laclede Honors College this semester.

Eliana Fitzhugh was one of more than a dozen new UMSL students who took part in the Legacy Family Pinning Ceremony with their alumni parents on Friday at the Blanche M. Touhill Performing Arts Center. The UMSL Alumni Association organized the event, which was first held last winter as part of UMSL Homecoming.
