Nearly 900 University of Missouri–St. Louis students, faculty, staff members and alumni turned out at Busch Stadium Friday night for the annual UMSL Night at the Ballpark. The hometown St. Louis Cardinals had already been eliminated from postseason contention and found themselves on the wrong end of a 19-2 decision against the visiting Cincinnati Reds. But the events on the field couldn’t dampen the enjoyment of those in attendance.

Photographer Phil Shoulberg and social media manager Valerie Furlong were on hand to capture some of the scenes before and during the game.
