Scott Morris, executive director of  theUMSL Entrepreneurship and Innovation Center, spoke with Fox 2 Now about the EIC’s Anchor Accelerator and its ongoing work to expand access to entrepreneurial learning and to cultivate an innovative, collaborative culture across UMSL’s campus.

The Associated Press tapped Susan Brownell, professor of anthropology and expert on Chinese sport, to comment on the respective paths of two prominent Chinese-American Olympians: Eileen Gu, a 22-year-old freestyle skier, and Alysa Liu, a 20-year—old figure skater. Gu chose to represent China at the recent Milan Cortina Winter Olympics, while Liu represented the United States.

The St. Louis American featured the UMSL School of Engineering’s SciFest: Engineering Expo at the Saint Louis Science Center. George Nnanna, founding director of the UMSL School of Engineering, and Xin Wang, professor of electrical engineering, discussed the new school’s programs and initiatives at the event.

Tablets & Capsules and The St. Louis American carried news of the $1 million federal investment to launch the API Innovation Hub on UMSL’s campus. The initiative will strengthen domestic production of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) and finished drug products (FDPs) through advanced manufacturing technologies.
