Associate Teaching Professor Michael Behle (at right) and adjunct professor and senior research lab technician Valerie Dratwick from the Department of Art and Design at the University of Missouri–St. Louis hang works of art from the exhibition “Hung Together” on the third floor of the Millennium Student Center.
The exhibition was created to showcase work made by UMSL Art and Design faculty and their students. It explores the traditions and dynamics of faculty and students working together. By placing the work of a professor and student next to one another, a kind of dialogue is created, which offers moments of reflection on creative research and exchange. Students gain further experience in exhibiting their art, writing and talking about art and the creative process. Faculty have the chance to further demonstrate professional practice and engage in deeper dialogue about their art practice with their students.
A public reception will be held from 4:30-6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 4, on the third floor of the MSC. Those in attendance will have the chance to view the exhibit and interact with Art and Design faculty and students.
