The new studio, on track to open next year, will serve students and faculty in the UMSL School of Engineering. It is expected to house machine and wood shops; 3D printer stations; a VF-2 CNC machine equipped with robot, lathe and milling machines; a wind tunnel for fluids and aerodynamics studies; a laser cutter; and MTS universal testing machine for product design, manufacturing and research, as well as 24 multi-purpose workbenches for student’s experiential learning projects.
