What is a good, safe investment these days? With uncertainty of the investment market, real estate market and job market, what is a good move?
Kate Warne, investment strategist at Edward Jones, will discuss “Making Sense of Today’s Economy and Investing” at 8 a.m. Oct. 6 in the Student Government Chamber at the Millennium Student Center at the University of Missouri–St. Louis.
Warne will help make sense of the economy and other current issues, including the impact of the markets and what are considered wise investments.
She has been with the Edward Jones since 1997 and was named a principal with the firm in 1999. As the firm’s investment strategist she interprets market conditions and makes recommendations for long-term investment strategies for the firm’s nearly 7 million clients.
Warne earned a doctoral degree in economics with an emphasis in finance and competitive strategy from Yale University in New Haven, Conn. She earned her master’s degree from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a bachelor’s degree from Swarthmore (Pa.) College.
She has been featured as an expert on several major networks including CNN, CBS and the Business News Network. And, has been quoted in such major publications as The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Forbes and Fortune.
