Piano students at the University of Missouri–St. Louis will present a unique and exciting duo piano concert at 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 28 in the E. Desmond and Mary Ann Lee Theater at the Blanche M. Touhill Performing Arts Center at UMSL.
Attendees are in store for a wide variety of piano duo repertoire. The students will perform works by several composers including Mozart, Brahms, Gershwin, Arensky and Liszt. Students will perform either on two pianos or one piano (4 hands). They will be accompanied by Alla Voskoboynikova, teaching associate professor of music and director of keyboard studies.
“This project is happening for the first time at the UMSL Music Department and it is very unique,” said Voskoboynikova.
The performers are: Robert Carpenter, Hongyun Liu, John Nuckols, David Doran, Thomas Winkler, Daniel Dickson and Daniel Kuehler.
The piano studio duo recital is free and open to the public and sponsored by the Department of Music at UMSL.
