Each week, the Department of Athletics at the University of Missouri–St. Louis compiles a roundup of how the various UMSL Tritons teams have fared. Click on the headings below for an up-to-date look at each Tritons team.

MEN’S SOCCER
After a season-opening 2-0 loss to Northeastern State University (Tahlequah, Okla.) on Aug. 31, the UMSL men’s soccer team bounced back to defeat Lake Erie College (Painesville, Ohio), 4-1, on Sunday. The Tritons got three goals from freshman Tyler Collico in the victory. UMSL is now 1-1 on the season and begins Great Lakes Valley Conference play this weekend at home.

WOMEN’S SOCCER
Freshman Kali Thomas scored two goals in her collegiate debut to help the UMSL women’s soccer team to a 2-2 double overtime draw against Missouri Southern State University (Joplin) last Friday in the Tritons’ season opener. Thomas’ second goal came with just a little over five minutes to play in regulation and helped force the extra play. UMSL closed out its opening weekend with a 2-0 loss at Lindenwood University (St. Charles, Mo.) on Sunday. The Tritons are 1-1 overall and begin GLVC play at home this weekend.

VOLLEYBALL
The UMSL volleyball team competed in a competitive Days Inn Bulldog Invitational last weekend, hosted by Truman State University (Kirksville, Mo.). The Tritons went 0-4, which included losses to then No. 7 ranked University of Minnesota-Duluth and the host school, which was receiving votes in the American College Volleyball Association Coaches Poll. Freshman Lindsay Meyer was named to the all-tournament team after averaging 5.92 assists and 3.69 digs per set. The Tritons will compete in the Middle of Everywhere Tournament this weekend hosted by Missouri University of Science and Technology (Rolla).
