Each week, the Department of Athletics at the University of Missouri–St. Louis compiles a roundup of how the various UMSL Tritons teams have fared. Click on the headings below for an up-to-date look at each Tritons team.

MEN’S GOLF
The UMSL men’s golf team placed seventh at the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Fall Event, held Sunday-Monday in South Haven, Mich. The Tritons carded rounds of 301 and 306 to finish with a team score of 607 and were led by senior Chase Smith (74-77) and freshman David Abolt (76-75), who tied for 22nd place, each carding a 151.

WOMEN’S GOLF
The UMSL women’s golf team placed fourth at the 11-team UIndy Invite, hosted by the University of Indianapolis Sunday-Monday. The Tritons shot 646 (324-322) and were led by senior Shweta Galande’s tie for fourth place finish with a score of 153 (78-75). Junior Daniela Viotti carded her first-ever hole-in-one with an ace on the 127-yard, par-3 second en route to an 18th place finish with a 161 (83-78).

MEN’S SOCCER
The UMSL men’s soccer team ran its win streak to four games with a pair of home victories last weekend. The Tritons upset No. 5 ranked Rockhurst University (Kansas City, Mo.), 1-0 in overtime, on Friday with senior Thomas Mihalczo scoring the game-winner, before edging Wiliam Jewell College (Liberty, Mo.), 1-0, on Sunday behind freshman Chris Pearson’s goal. UMSL is now 5-2 on the season, including 4-1 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference and travels to the Missouri University of Science & Technology and Drury University (Springfield, Mo.) this weekend.

WOMEN’S SOCCER
The UMSL women’s soccer team lost a 3-1 decision to No. 19 ranked Rockhurst University on Friday before suffering a 2-1 defeat to William Jewell on Sunday. The Tritons got goals from freshman Kali Thomas and sophomore Kayla Thorpe. The Tritons are 1-5-1 overall, and 1-4 in the GLVC and travel to Missouri University of Science & Technology and Drury University this weekend.

VOLLEYBALL
The UMSL volleyball team lost a pair of GLVC road matches last weekend, falling to Rockhurst University, 3-2, and William Jewell College, 3-1. The Tritons had four match points in the fourth set at Rockhurst, but couldn’t finish it off and tallied more kills than William Jewell, but also finished with more attack errors than their hosts. Senior libero Jennie Manis averaged 6.6 digs per set in the two matches, registering a career-best 31 digs Friday night against the Hawks. UMSL is 4-9 overall and 3-2 in the GLVC. They will wrap up a four-game road swing at Lindenwood University (St. Charles, Mo.) tonight before hosting Missouri S&T and Drury University this weekend.

WOMEN’S TENNIS
Freshman Natalia Vaz de Carvalhais advanced to the quarterfinals of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Midwest Regional Tournament last weekend, highlighting action for the UMSL women’s tennis team, while junior Louisa Werner advanced to the Round of 16.
