Financial expert and UMSL alumna Juli Niemann will discuss the outlook for the economy and markets at 8 a.m. Feb. 7 in the Student Government Association Chamber in the Millennium Student Center at UMSL.

Politicians and government officials have spent years discussing the economic recovery and the upward swing of the market. But is it really on the mend?

Financial expert Juli Niemann, executive vice president at Smith Moore and Co., will discuss “What Recovery? Outlook for the Economy and Markets” at 8 a.m. Feb. 7 in the Student Government Association Chamber at the Millennium Student Center on the North Campus of the University of Missouri–St. Louis.

Niemann earned a master’s degree in business administration from UMSL in 1977. She is a well-known and respected investment analyst with more than 35 years of experience in financial services. In 2003, she co-authored “The Complete Idiot’s Guide to the Politics of Oil.”

The discussion is part of the monthly Breakfast & Business Series by the College of Business Administration at UMSL.
