University of Missouri–St. Louis senior Kyle Renaud (pictured) has been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Pitcher of the Week, as announced on Monday by the league.

Renaud earns his third weekly accolade of the season after registering one win and three saves in four appearances last week. The Tritons, who are second in the GLVC West Division at 17-9 in conference play, swept Maryville University (Town and Country, Mo.) in a midweek doubleheader and then took all four contests on the road at Rockhurst University (Kansas City, Mo.).

This past Wednesday, the Sugar Grove, Ill., native worked 2.0 innings of clean baseball in the first game, only to respond with 4.0 innings in the second stanza, while striking out three and allowing just two hits. After earning a pair of saves to open the week, Renaud returned to the mound on Saturday and earned the win in 2.0 innings of work. In the series finale, the UMSL senior went 4.0 innings, allowing four hits, one earned run, while striking out seven to secure his third save of the game.

Renaud, a media studies major, ended the week going 12.0 innings, striking out seven batters and allowing eight hits, all while securing four team victories for the Tritons.
