The women's tennis team logged two wins as senior Salome Bleuler drew closer to the program's all-time singles wins record.

Senior Salome Bleuler recorded her 75th career singles victory, moving to within four of the Tritons’ all-time record, as UMSL swept matches against Truman State and Quincy over the weekend.

Women’s Tennis
UMSL swept both Truman State and Quincy last weekend. Senior Salome Bleuler picked up her 75th career singles victory on on Saturday. With the win, she moves within four of tying the program’s all-time singles victories record of 79. Prior to the match, Bleuler was honored as part of Senior Day festivities. The Tritons (9-4, 2-2 Great Lakes Valley Conference) will host Southern Indiana on Tuesday in a nonconference contest before concluding the GLVC schedule at William Jewell and Rockhurst on Friday and Saturday, respectively.

Softball
UMSL swept Quincy on Friday, winning 2-0 and 3-2 as senior Chelsea Martinez had a two-run homer in each contest. The Tritons then suffered a pair of one-run losses at Truman State on Saturday. Junior Andee Tiffee went 1-1 in the circle with a 0.54 ERA, striking out 18 and limiting opponents to .174 hitting. UMSL (21-17, 10-6 GLVC) will host Maryville on Saturday in a doubleheader.

Baseball
The Tritons lost a pair of midweek games at Maryville but bounced back to take two of three from Rockhurst over the weekend. Senior Tom DeCero batted .500, recording eight hits in the five games, and added four RBI, while redshirt junior Derrick Freeman tallied seven hits, seven RBI, five runs and four stolen bases. Junior Bobby Shallenberger got the complete-game victory in the finale against Rockhurst. He allowed one run on six hits while striking out five and walking three in an 11-1 win. UMSL (7-24, 6-14 GLVC) hosts Maryville on Tuesday before traveling to Missouri S&T on Saturday and Sunday for a three-game series.

Men’s Tennis
The No. 49 Tritons picked up wins at home over Truman State (7-0) and Quincy (6-1) last weekend. Prior to Saturday’s match, the squad’s lone senior, Rob White, was recognized as part of Senior Day festivities. White went on to pick up his 53rd career singles victory in the match, moving into a tie for third place on the program’s career singles victories list. UMSL (11-4, 3-1 GLVC) will host NCAA Division III power Washington University in St. Louis on Wednesday before wrapping up the regular season at William Jewell and Rockhurst on Friday and Saturday, respectively.

Women’s Golf
UMSL carded a 313 on Sunday as it opened play in its own Triton Invitational at Norwood Hills Country Club. The Tritons sit in second place among 16 teams and enter today’s final 18 holes one stroke behind leader Lindenwood and two strokes ahead of Illinois Springfield. Individually, junior Emma Thorngren shot a 77 and is tied for sixth place.

Men’s Golf
Freshman Joel Sylven turned in a five-under-par 67 on Sunday to lead the field at the Greyhound Invitational, while the Tritons sit in second place at one-under in the 18-team field with a 287. Sylven is tied with Ferris State’s Jack Weller, whose Bulldogs own a five-stroke advantage over UMSL in the team standings. The 54-hole tournament continues today with another 18 before concluding on Tuesday with the final round.
