BMA Software is a recent addition to the applied research capacity of the University of Missouri–St. Louis. Housed at IT Enterprises, UMSL’s biotechnology and information technology business incubator, BMA is a certified Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains partner specializing in wholesale durable goods distribution. The company has developed a specialized order management platform that allows customers to manage complex pricing and logistics. It provides customers with a complete resource management and accounting system.

Previously based in Chesterfield, Mo., BMA offers CloudGP, a monthly subscription service that includes Microsoft Dynamics GP Advanced Management, BMA software and reporting services. Their customers get a system that is professionally managed, which includes nightly and weekly back-ups, uninterruptible power and advanced security.

Dan McGinnis, director of operations at BMA, said the company was impressed with ITe’s professional environment.

“Our strategic move into the cloud application space requires a significant level of investment. IT Enterprises offers a compelling value that will help our customers receive outstanding service levels at a reasonable price point. We look forward to growing our business with ITe,” McGinnis said.

IT Enterprise Director of Scientific and Computing Services William Lemon said UMSL is happy to play a role in helping BMA develop and thrive in the St. Louis region through mentoring contacts and business development activities.

“Our goal is to help companies like BMA to get off the ground and then as they grow provide a smooth hand-off of their data center services to larger providers in the region,” he said.
