Jose Grubbs scored 19 points to lead the Tritons to a road victory Dec. 20 at Wisconsin-Parkside. They’re set to resume GLVC play at home Tuesday against Maryville.

Men’s Basketball
The Tritons have had a break from Great Lakes Valley Conference play the past few weeks, but they managed to pick up a road victory over a non-league opponent when they faced off against Wisconsin-Parkside on Dec. 20 in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Senior swingman Jose Grubbs scored a team-high 19 points, senior forward Marty Jackson added 18 and sophomore guard Atavian Butler had 12 off the bench as UMSL won its third straight game. The Tritons (8-2, 2-1 GLVC) had a New Year’s Eve game against Eureka canceled on Friday but will return to conference play when they play host to Maryville on Tuesday. It will be UMSL’s first home game since Nov. 14. Rockhurst and Missouri S&T are scheduled to visit the Mark Twain Athletic Center on Thursday and Saturday, respectively.

Women’s Basketball
UMSL had a quiet winter break after its lone scheduled game – a Dec. 30 visit to Christian Brothers University in Memphis, Tennessee – was canceled last week. The Tritons (7-1, 3-0 GLVC) will host conference games against Maryville on Tuesday, Rockhurst on Thursday and Missouri S&T on Saturday after a more than two-week layoff. The home games will be UMSL’s first since Nov. 24.
