Men’s Basketball
The 24th-ranked University of Missouri–St. Louis men’s basketball team remained unbeaten by knocking off Grand Valley State and Michigan Tech on back-to-back days in last week’s St. Louis Union Station Hotel UMSL Thanksgiving Classic at the Mark Twain Athletic Center. UMSL beat Grand Valley State 78-66 on Tuesday and blitzed Michigan Tech 75-57 on Wednesday. Redshirt junior guard Isaiah Fuller averaged 17.5 points per game in the two victories while shooting over 60 percent from the floor. Freshman Matt Enright also finished in double figures in both games, and UMSL had four players with at least 12 points against Michigan Tech. Last week wins set up a matchup of unbeaten and ranked teams as the Tritons open Great Lakes Valley Conference play on Monday night against No. 22 Southwest Baptist at the Meyer Sports Center in Bolivar, Missouri. UMSL will also take on Drury and Missouri S&T in home conference matches on Thursday and Saturday, respectively.
