Former Speaker of the Missouri House Steven Tilley will be among the participants debating term limits for state legislators at the inaugural Public Ethics Conference, “Term limits: Two Decades of Lessons.” The conference will be presented on Oct. 6 by the Center for Ethics in Public Life at the University of Missouri–St. Louis.

The Deparment of Mathematics and Computer Science at UMSL will host the spring meeting of the Missouri Section of the Mathematical Association of America on April 13 and 14. MAA Vice President Francis Su and David Wright, chairman of the Department of Mathematics at Washington University in St. Louis, will be the keynote speakers at the meeting.
Legendary dancer Katherine Dunham was an innovator in combining individualistic dance movements of Caribbean and African cultures with European-style ballet. Her intense research of primitive rhythms of various cultures explored the foundation of movement, its form and function.
