A new $1 million grant will allow the institute to launch a substance abuse and HIV/AIDS prevention program this summer.

For nearly four decades, the Bridge Program has helped prepare middle and high school students and their parents for the transition to college.

The grant will extend over the next three years and will allow both campuses to train a total of 84 graduate-level social work students.
