Grace Hopper Celebration Conference would open up a huge portal of opportunities. I would get to interact with unimaginable number of companies at one place and would also get to meet different kinds of people. I believe that key to getting a potential opportunity is through proper networking. My experience with being a part of IEEE organization taught me how important networking is in order to stay successful. If you look at the statistics, the number of people attending this conference has significantly increased from 5000 to 13000 in 3 years and you could expect close to 17000 people this year.
The conference is not just about finding a job. It educates you so much about the current trends in technology. It guides you to assess yourself on where you stand and what next has to be done to get you to where you want to be. The workshops that happen during the 3 day conference are those never to be missed. The most important thing that you would probably do not want to miss is the motivation you would get at the conference. Being a Graduate student majoring in Information Systems with a Business Intelligence Certificate graduating this year December, this conference would change things around significantly with a positive impact.
