The U.S. Department of State has announced increased passport application fees, effective July 13. The cost for a U.S. passport book for a first-time applicant will increase to $135 for adults and $105 for children under the age of 16. Fees will also increase for passport renewals to $110 for adults and $80 for children under the age of 16.
The University of Missouri–St. Louis Passport Application Acceptance Facility, operated by the Center for International Studies, is accepting appointments for people who wish to apply for a passport before the fee increase takes effect.
