St. Louis Public Radio reporters Veronique LaCapra (left) and Maria Altman were honored this weekend with Missouri Broadcasters Association Awards.

St. Louis Public Radio | 90.7 KWMU science reporter Veronique LaCapra and news reporter Maria Altman each earned first-place honors at the 2011 Missouri Broadcasters Association Awards Competition.

LaCapra won in the Feature Reporting category for her story “Bringing Back Endangered Beetles.” Altman won in the Documentary/Public Affairs category for her story “Teen Unemployment.”

The 2011 Missouri Broadcasters Association Annual Awards Banquet was held Saturday at the Lodge of Four Seasons in Missouri’s Lake of the Ozarks.
