Each year, the St. Louis Regional Chamber and Growth Association showcases 50 organizations that, according to St. Louis Commerce Magazine, “represent the best in their fields and have made significant contributions to the St. Louis region.” For the third year running, the University of Missouri–St. Louis is one of the Greater St. Louis Top 50.

Profiles of each honoree ran in the November/December issue of St. Louis Commerce Magazine. The magazine pointed out that UMSL has grown to become the largest university in the St. Louis area and educates more St. Louisans than any other institution of higher education.

“UMSL’s faculty conducts reearch on topics that provide insight on everything from alternative fuels to public policy,” St. Louis Commerce Magazine wrote. “Research faculty and two university-operated business incubators help create new product innovations and jobs in the St. Louis area.”

The RCGA, in partnership with RubinBrown, honored this year’s Greater St. Louis Top 50 Award winners Nov. 14 at the Gala Awards Dinner at the Chase Park Plaza in St. Louis.
