Festival of Dance to showcase ballet to modern

The University of Missouri–St. Louis will host three evenings of dance and music at 8 p.m. Nov. 8 through Nov. 10 at the Blanche M. Touhill Performing Arts Center.

The Festival of Dance will begin its three-night run at 8 p.m. Nov 8. at the Touhill and continue with performances at 8 p.m. Nov. 9 and 10.

The Festival of Dance will feature choreography from UMSL faculty, students and guest artists MADCO, the dance company in residence at UMSL. The concert will include a variety of dances, from ballet to modern.

The shows will take place in the E. Desmond and Mary Ann Lee Theater at the Touhill Performing Arts Center. Tickets are $5 to $10. Call 314-516-4949 or visit touhill.org to purchase tickets.

The festival is sponsored by the Department of Theatre, Dance and Media Studies at UMSL.
